| Any thoughts or insight on evening practice? Time and schedule constraints have left later in the evenings as my only open time for practice. | |

| I found that practicing Ashtanga in the evenings left me very stimulated and awake making it harder to get to sleep.
But if I did headstand followed by a long shoulderstand and plow or viparitakirani that did help with calmaing down.
Also skipping some of the vinyasas between seated postures helped.
Now I do a vinyasa flow practice not Ashtanga and when doing evening practice I do sun salutations, strong standing flow sequence, then strong arm/hand or head balances then a slow calming seated sequence with plenty of relaxing forward bends to bring the energy down finishing with legs up the wall or viparitakirani and relaxation.
Or just a softer practice altogether...... | |
