| When I do full locust, my pelvis crushes my man bits. Do you guys tuck your junk bag towards the back wall or something? Or do you just not have this problem (not to assume you are not generously endowed)? I'm fine in floor bow because I end up just on my bottom ribs and the front of my pelvis, so the soldier is up out of the way.
Any suggestions? |

| I have totally surrendered trying to avoid pain in any floor asana--I've asked everybody I know and many I don't know--end result is just grab your stuff and move it as necessary--I have absolutely no modesty anymore. |

And so what if some one sees? I've been in several workshops
led by male yogis, who have unselfconsciously grabbed and adjusted
their crotch in front of several dozen, mostly female, students. Quite
often this is in a seated pose like Siddhasana where the heel needs to
go to the perineum and you-know-what is in the way. |

| Up dog after up dog do that to me also. That is why I m always in the back of the class.. |

| Thx for the replies, I should just let my modesty go, I just kinda feel like a perv makin' an adjustment in a group of women. |

| Have you tried dragging your body forward a little? So when you are setting up for the pose just pull your body forward until it goes into place. This usually works for me. Subtle enough where no one will really catch on to what you are doing! |

| Some of our ladies have posted they have to do similar with the boobs and butt; one of my favorite female Bikram teachers always says her "junk in the trunk" must be manipulated. |

| I'll be the brave female and jump into this one.....
Go ahead and move what you have to move - we probably won't notice anyway (especially any woman that lives/has lived with a man - we become blissfully ignorant after a time). And, like Bruce said, we've got our own bodies to deal with... |

| I shamelessly move the boys on cobra, and full locust. Think about women and their breasts in half and full locust. Their breast are exactly where they would have to go into when they start to advance. I do not know how they do it. Or how's about eagle, can they do it without squishing their breasts. Guys have it much better for these kinds of issues, we can move the parts. The only posture for me that gets a little scary is eagle. I have to go slow so the jewels can slide under. What a great forum this is that we can talk about this stuff. |

| Under in Eagle?? I've been trying to keep 'em on top! Ah HA! Thanks! |

|
| Depends on how loose your sack is. Sex the night before you should be ok. Been loading up, go very very slow. |

| Here's the descriptive words we've used so far in this thread for our privates:
bits
junk
bag
soldier
stuff
crotch
boys
parts
jewels
Oh yeah, i forgot about eagle pose, i'm pretty sure they go under in that one. Although I can't really picture in right now. |

| I also find that different types of clothing are more helpful for certain poses. Looser clothing is good for the floor poses, but awful for eagle. Vice versa for tighter, more supportive clothes. For me, at least. We're all different though, right?
I haven't had any luck finding what works for full spinal twist, and have gotten shameless about moving things this way and that. No one seems to mind. |

| I had this issue come up in class last night and I have yet another term to add to thread.
My student asked me in the middle of class.
"hey, Brian! How do I move Big Jim and the twins?"
Needless to say the entire class turned into giggling teenagers, including myself. |

| I thought I posted a reply yesterday, but apparently it did not work. So I will try again.
Monday was my first class since I posed the question. I took your advice and left my shame at the door and it made the class much easier and enjoyable. My boys thank you. |
