| The studio I go to has a 65 minute class daily at 4:30. There is 1 set of breathing, 2 sets of most standing series poses, then 1 set of floor poses.
I have starting attending these classes because i'm home by 6pm, very convenient. They have a full 90minute at 6pm but, then I get home at 8pm. It's hard to do day-to-day chores and prepare and eat supper by a decent hour when you only have a small time frame (4pm - 5:30pm, then again after 8pm)
Clearly, I'm not getting the benefits from an abbreviated 65min class as I would from a full 90min class, but is it worth the lifestyle change? Ultimately, I have to make this decision for myself, but I'm open to suggestions and input.

| Well, it might not be the benefits of a full 90 minutes, but it's the benefits of 65! Are you more likely to go more often to the 4:30 class? In other words, if you can go to that class 5 times a week, but can only go to the other 2 times a week, it might be more worth your while to go to the 4:30. Does that help?
Late classes are a pain. On Wednesdays my class ends at 9:30ish, and by the time i get home and have dinner it's 10:30 already! Hard to get thigns done after taht!

| I have been going to class 2 times a week. I want to increase that, and you are right, i probably will only be able to increase my frequency by continuing the early 65min classes. Maybe I will throw in the occasional 90 minute here and there as time permits. | |

| In his book, Bikram mentions an abbreviated class for more seasoned people. I've also heard that his advance classes are shorter as well (they take no breaks in between poses). | |

| well i took the plunge last night and purchased an unlimited monthly card. starting next week, i hope to get in 3-4 classes a week. our studio is starting to hold advanced classes in january, which i have been invited to, i'll report how they go. | |

| This sounds like a great idea - I would be so into it at my studio.
Is your studio a "certified" Bikram College of India studio?

Yep. When I first discovered these classes, I wondered to myself if the Bikram-police would come knocking.
