| All nondual teachings are based on the premise that the true nature of a human being is consciousness. Ask "Who am I?" in the tradition of self-inquiry. In Yoga, Self-realization is knowledge of one's true self. Share quotes from favorite teaches such as the Buddha, Nisargadatta, Ramana, Adyashanti, Gangiji, Neelam, Byron Katie and Eckhart Tolle that inspire. You are invited to lovingly discuss these aspects of spirituality. Welcome! |

| Hi Shannon - looks like a shiny new forum here! How about a little bio or something so we can get to know you. I'll bet this will be a busy one |
|
|
|
| Glenda! Shannon's our high priestess here and only through her and Victor's kind allowance do we have this site to cavort around:

| Yoga is a method for doing a practice which takes one to the realization of the Nonduality. The nature of self enquiry 'Who Am I' is extremely difficult for a common man, and is confusing in many ways at later stages. Yoga provides variety of ways of reaching the true self depending on the person's nature. All the ways in Yoga without any single exception are detailed in only one book in a comprehensive way, and that is Shreemad Bhagavadgita. In fact, the self enquiry itself is one method from Yoga itself.
Peace |

| LOL! None of this high priestess stuff, Bruce. I am a fellow yoga practitioner interested in non duality teachings. That is all. |

| ...if yoga is about finding non-duality with yourself, and i am a gemini which is a duality based sign ( or whatever ), does this mean im going to have to work twice as hard to gain non-duality? or is it like a cancelling effect ( think double negatives... ) ????
thats quite the interesting thought....i reckon |

The effect of signs such as gemini is limited to the bodily matters. If one is doing a true Yoga Practice (with mind involved), then the effect of signs on body does not affect mind. And, therefore, signs has NOHING to do with spiritual practice. But, with apology, I do not wish to get into astrology. |

I would have to get know them both and then deal with them, whichever one appeared. What was really a challenge was when they both were present at once, Once they labeled my Mother as having a Bipolar disorder...I couldn't convince the Doctors what her real situation was...they wouldn't hear of it,
Thanks for telling us that there are 2 of you...now I know how to respond to you better, |

It might be an attempt to influence Google's page rank system to increase the spammer's listing level. |

| >So, care to share the secret code to the name color change???
Log yourself off, top of forum page, then go back to the forum and Post Reply. You'll see a place to type a name. After posting, you'll see it's purple. Hum, maybe an enhancement to this site can be to change the color of the names.... |
|
|
|
| Hey that is pretty cool. I learned something cool today. Now, I want to be this color all the time, |
|
|
|
| C-I agree with you. Sometimes it hard being 'blue' all the time. |
|
|
|
| Well, the other new thing I learned is that you can only be this color on this forum....not the others...it don't work. So, whenever I need a break from blue, guess this is the place to come to huh???
Am I blue
Yes I'm blue
It started the day I lost you
Nobody ever missed somebody like I do
Am I blue
Am I blue
Just this mornin'
over coffee
I sat there cryin'
cause you're gone long gone
I didn't know just how much
I was gonna miss you
till I spent my first night alone
Am I blue
Yes I'm blue
How could I have been such a fool
Now look at all the misery I'm going through
Am I blue
Am I blue
Tried to call and say I'm sorry
I couldn't get you on the line
You'll never know just how much
I'm wishin' you would show up
and say you've changed your mind
Am I blue
Yes I'm blue
It started the day I lost you
Nobody ever missed somebody like I do
Am I blue
|
|
|
|
| Well I guess we might as sing the blues on this forum before the spammers overtake it or we get kicked off for being too goofy…
Blue, blue, my world is blue,
blue is my world now I’m without you.
Gray, gray, my life is gray,
cold is my heart since you went away.
Red, red, my eyes are red,
crying for you alone in my bed.
Green, green, my jealous heart,
I doubted you and now we’re apart.
When we met how the bright sun shone.
Then love died, now the rainbow is gone.
Black, black, the nights I’ve known,
longing for you so lost and alone.

| Well I saw the thing comin' out of the sky
It had one long horn and one big eye
I commenced to shakin' and I said, hoo-eee
It looks like a purple people eater to me
It was a one-eyed, one-horned, flyin' purple people eater
One-eyed, one-horned, flyin' purple people eater
A one-eyed, one-horned, flyin' purple people eater
Sure looks strange to me - One eye?
Well he came down to earth and he lit in a tree
I said Mr. Purple People Eater, don't eat me
I heard him say in a voice so gruff
I wouldn't eat you 'cause you're so tough
- One horn?
I said Mr. Purple People Eater, what's your line
He said eatin' purple people and it sure is fine
But that's not the reason that I came to land
I wanna get a job in a rock 'n' roll band
Well bless my soul, rock and roll, flyin' purple people eater
Pigeon-toed, under-growed, flyin' purple people eater
We wear short shorts - friendly little people eater
What a sight to see - Ow!
And then he swung from the tree and he lit on the ground
And he started to rock, a-really rockin' around
It was a crazy ditty with a swingin' tune
Sing a bop-bop-a-loopa-loppa-lum-bam-boom
Well bless my soul, rock and roll, flyin' purple people eater
Pigeon-toed, under-growed, flyin' purple people eater
I like short shorts - flyin' purple people eater
What a sight to see - Purple people?
And then he went on his way and then what do ya know
I saw him last night on a TV show
He was blowing it out, a-really knockin' em dead
Playin' rock and roll music through the horn in his head

| Okay I'm game with purple:
Purple haze all in my brain
Lately things just don’t seem the same
Actin’ funny, but I don’t know why
’scuse me while I kiss the sky
Purple haze all around
Don’t know if I’m comin’ up or down
Am I happy or in misery?
What ever it is, that girl put a spell on me
Help me
Help me
Oh, no, no
Hammerin’
Talkin’ ’bout heart ’n’...s-soul
I’m talkin’ about hard stuff
If everbodys still around, fluff and ease, if
So far out my mind
Somethings happening, somethings happening
Ooo, ahhh
Ooo, ahhh,
Ooo, ahhh
Ooo, ahhh, yeah!
Purple haze all in my eyes, uhh
Don’t know if it’s day or night
You got me blowin’, blowin’ my mind
Is it tomorrow, or just the end of time?
Ooo
Help me
Ahh, yea-yeah, purple haze, yeah
Oh, no, oh
Oh, help me
Purple haze, tell me, baby, tell me
I can’t go on like this
Purple haze
You’re makin’ me blow my mind...mama
Purple haze, n-no, nooo
Purple haze, no, it’s painful, baby

When I get to the bottom I go back to the top of the slide
Where I stop and I turn and I go for a ride
Till I get to the bottom and I see you again
Yeah yeah yeah hey
Do you, don't you want me to love you
I'm coming down fast but I'm miles above you
Tell me tell me tell me come on tell me the answer
Well you may be a lover but you ain't no dancer
Now helter skelter helter skelter
Helter skelter yeah
Ooh!
Will you, won't you want me to make you
I'm coming down fast but don't let me break you
Tell me tell me tell me the answer
You may be a lover but you ain't no dancer
Look out helter skelter helter skelter
Helter skelter ooh
Look out, cos here she comes
When I get to the bottom I go back to the top of the slide
And I stop and I turn and I go for a ride
And I get to the bottom and I see you again
Yeah yeah yeah
Well do you, don't you want me to make you
I'm coming down fast but don't let me break you
Tell me tell me tell me the answer
You may be a lover but you ain't no dancer
Look out helter skelter helter skelter
Helter skelter

No BG, I haven't heard of that CD by Agni Deva...I'm been more into Temple Music....without the words lately. I can't find a whole heck of alot. Like this new Rasa CD, "Temple of Love", is absolutely wonderful, except I am tired of hearing the chanting because it sounds the same, over and over. I'm not sure if Kim is pronouncing the words correctly and I've heard that is not good when you don't chant properly. My husband hasn't heard it yet, so the verdict is still out on that CD. I do LOVE the music, it is exactly what I like to hear, without the words. Anybody know how to filter out the words on a CD??
That couple, Rasa is suppose to be the Yoga Journal Midwest Convention in a couple of months. |

When you don't have a font capable to displaying the characters contained in the text your browser will display ????. Often this is the case for asian languages since they don't use the "standard" aribic character set. If you were to install a character set for chinese, japanese, and korean, you'd see 90% of these ???? change into some sort of readable character. |

Oh, okay. No I never got the characters to change. BTW, if you want to see your friends complete email you need to figure out what character set he's using, and download it from microsoft. They had the japanese, chinese and korean sets on the updates site for a while, but it's since disappeared. You also might find it hard to find whatever set they're using for Tibetan or Sanskrit or whatever your friend is using.
