Is Jalandhar bandha during advance practice of naadi shodhan pranayama the reason behind this pain ?
any one has any idea?

If you are doing jalandar very strenuously, it is the reason.

anuj - as well as Neel's advice to not practice strenuously, I will add that it is often helpful to practice seated prananyama with your back against a wall. Even nicer, for some, is to put a bolster vertically between your back and the wall so that it supports the spine. This seems to eliminate some tightness in the back, which in turn allows the neck to relax more. Hope that is helpful for you

Is the underside of the chin resting on the sterno-clavicluar joint when you are doing Jalandhara Bandha?
