| As a seasoned massage therapist, I am amazed how many massage therapists put themselves last. I believe we need to take care of ourselves first, if we are going to help others. Personally, I try to receive a massage once a week. I realize it can be costly, but I encourage my colleagues to trade or check their local schools, who usually offer massage at very low rate. You deserve the royal treatment, too.

| I tried to go for massage once every week too. But I alternate between full body
massage and foot reflexology , so it wont hurt the pocket too much. |

| I am not a massage therapist, but how often should one get a massage? I workout fairly regularly (running, light weights), so I imagine I may need one more than others. I try to go 4x a year...is this too much/little? |

| Does that mean any kind of massage? |

| I am a massage therapist and I get a massage everyday from my husband. I suggest people who retired should get a massage one month. People who workout a lot, work with computer, dentist should get a massage everyweek because the muscle will be tight and tense. Also, I can relife stress.

I am in Carlsbad, CA.

| Massage as an alternate therapy with certain oils and herbs is beneficial. But it isn't recommended for one's growth in yoga. Or usage on a daily basis. Especially, another person touching your spine. Merudanda, your spine, is the most important and sensitive part of your pranic body.
I am not for untouchability; but this is what gave rise to it in India. Where Brahmins, who worked on their spiritual well-being had a bath if came in contact with a Tamasic person (unevolved being). Yoga Mudras, is another science which explores and shows how sensitive these pranic channels are.
Today, Kerlin photography has proved how the aura of two people interact to exchange energies. You can even experience this first hand if you are aware enough.
However, due to high economic interests it is unlikely that you will ever hear anything negative about massage. |

| Once in a week, I get whole body massage. I would like to share that people who get massage regularly demonstrate a reduction in pain and muscular tension and an improvement in their health as well. |
