| I had spinal fusion surgery (T3-L3) nine months ago as a result of a plane crash accident and am wondering if anyone can recommend any good massage-related resources for spinal fusion cases.
Many thanks in advance for your help! | |

| My answer to this is the same like what I answered to your other question about yoga velisha : you should first ask your surgeon, what kind of masage would be good for your case and also in which area of your back is the masser allowed to work on | |

| I have worked on several people with fusions in their spine either in the lumbar or cervical regions. It hasn't been a problem at all and I haven't modified anything I normally do, accept use more caution and awareness in those areas. Also, I don't try to stretch the neck, or really do any stretches. I think as long as you go to a licensed therapist, one that specializes in injuries or chronic pain even better, you will be fine. | |
