| Pauline earned her Iyengar teacher certificate in October, 2008. She has had the great fortune to have taken class with B.K.S., Iyengar and his daughter Geeta, and son Prashant in the U.S. and in Pune, at the Iyengar Institute.
Pauline teaches beginning and intermediate students, and pregnant women. She is married to Dan Gleitman and has two young sons. As a wife and mother, she understands the need to juggle competing demands of family and work. As a former athlete, she learned the hard way about the need for balance in training. Her academic experience brought with it a deep understanding of the spiritual and emotional costs of too much “head work.” Academic training afforded other gifts as well: an appreciation for yoga philosophy and Sanskrit language and the concentration to penetrate these subjects. Pauline welcomes anyone to her classes. You do not have to be thin, athletic, flexible or fashionable to benefit from the treasures of Iyengar yoga.
