Simply making our body in to a shape is not an Asana. Asana means “Sthira Shukham Asanam” (Steady and Comfortable Posture). Steadiness or balance comes from applying two equal and opposite forces (Yin and Yang or Positive and Negative or Sun and Moon). Comfort comes when align the posture in right way without blocking the Pranic (Energic) flow. Steadiness and Comfort in posture can be achieved by knowing the skeleton-muscular system and universal theory of alignment.

This is a wonderful chance to know about the Anatomy of alignment and freedom of stillness in postures. It is a 20 hours weekend workshop which includes Anatomy of Muscular system, Skeletal System, Alignment of postures, etc.

Without the base of alignment yoga asana (postures) is very much dangerous. Many teachers wrongly correct the students, and some students do not know what the teacher is trying to correct in them. Many of our muscles may not be opened enough, and to go for advanced postures will hurt us deeper. There are many easy ways to open the muscles and to easily go into the postures faster. Achieving the advanced postures is not the most important in yoga. How much comfort you find, and bringing the awareness in your postures, movements (vinyasa) and breath are important. This workshop will help to initiate teachers and students to make sure about the alignment and anatomy of yoga
