I have a question regarding camel pose. My teacher often says that camels don't drink so camel pose stops you from drinking. This is apparently a direct quote from Bikram.

Aren't we supposed to drink? I am not sure if she is refering to water or alcohol. I am tempted to correct her and say that camels actually do drink but don't want to upset the karma..lol

That's a new one on me! If that held true, Camel would make you grow a hump to hold water in

I think this may refer to taking a drink of water right before Camel pose -- generally a really bad idea. It makes me feel like I am going to throw up!

They were drinking mojitos after class when I showed up to buy my pass at the Bikram studio I attend, so I don't think there's any rule against alcohol!
