Location: A Blue State | I'd suggest that you start with a visit to Kripalu, just to get a sense of the place. You should note as well that it has been through some transitions over the years, so that the older experience may or may not map to the current one. I know one guy who is Kripalu certified, and who seemed to spend a fair amount of time visiting there, who told me that Kripalu TT was "a cult". He talked a lot, however, and I know several other peopel with Kripalu certifications who are clearly not "cult victims" ... for that matter, neither was he. So let's just say that some of the old-line Kripalu people are pretty hard core. Beyond the above, I really know nothing about TT at Kripalu. ..... bg |

| One of my favorite yoga teachers is Kripalu trained. Also, they get some of the best instructors in the business up there, so they are very reputable and respected.

Location: Oregon | Well, I will soon be able to respond to this as I am attending teacher training at Kripalu soon. I will be attending their 200hr program that is split into 2 two week sessions; Nov./Dec. 2009 and Jan./Feb. 2010. I'm pretty excited about it. |

| I did my 200 hour training at Kripalu last summer. It was amazing! I chose it because I saw that they had strong alumni support and I thought that would be helpful as I took my first steps as a teacher. Learning how to teach yoga feels like it was really just a fraction of what I took away from my experience. I grew so much in my practice, in my yoga life, and in general. The person I walked into the first session as is not the one that walked away and I am very grateful for the transformation. The network of support, of friends, of mentors that I walked away with is incredible and I still talk to a lot of the people that I did the program with. I HIGHLY recommend it!
