?Activision Reveals Why Black Ops 3 DLC PS4 Exclusivity Was Important. Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg believes the company's deal with Sony for timed-exclusivity on Call of Duty DLC was the right decision.Historically, the Call of Duty franchise has been associated with Xbox, in part because of early DLC for the platform but Sony's deal will see Black Ops 3 DLC brought to PS3 and PS4 first.Asked by GameInformer about the potential impact the decision could have on eSports given that Xbox has been Call of Duty's competitive home to date, Hirshberg said, Obviously, that matters. The muscle memory is a deep, physical connection to the controller that you're used to.Yet Hirshberg noted that Call of Duty has been a cross-platform game the entire time. We've had great Runescape players on both platforms the entire time, he continued, and said Sony's support of Destiny on PlayStation 4 was pivotal to the decision. The partnership with Sony was the right decision at this time, he said. They've been a great partner on Destiny, and they have a ton of momentum with the PS4 and really got behind this thing. They wanted to see that deal on their platform. We're going to make it work.Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is set for release on November 6th, 2015 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.Xbox Music is Now Groove, Xbox Video Becomes Movies & TV. Microsoft has announced that Xbox Music is to be renamed Groove, while Xbox Video will henceforth be known as Movies and TV.Announcing the name changes on the Windows website, Microsoft said the aim was to allow users to access music quickly, efficiently, and on their favorite devices. The service is said to have new features we think you're going to love. Groove describes what people feel and do with music, and is more intuitive for our Windows 10 customers on what they'll find with the app.As for the more generic Movies and TV label, Microsoft commented, you'll also find Xbox Video has also been renamed to Movies and TV, making the content in the app more identifiable for our broad customer base. These changes appear to have been made as Microsoft gears up for the release of Windows Old School RS Gold 10 later this month. The Xbox One is set to go through a significant overhaul this autumn, including a revamped UI.CCP Considers Reducing Barrier to Entry in EVE Online.
