Expert Yogi Posts: 2479 Location: A Blue State | Cool, Sapa! Sounds like a great way to learn the advanced series of the Bikram school. Cheaper than seeing Bikram in Hawaii, too, no doubt! Will Tony be working directly with the students himself?

Expert Yogi Posts: 2479 Location: A Blue State | Oh, I don't know, maybe it's actually a horrible horrible insult. Bay Guy will go commit seppuku in response to this humiliation. He can take no more of people making fun of him. Good bye, Cruel World! Like mild flowers In unloved gardens Wicked sun burns I fall

Expert Yogi Posts: 8442 | That's ok Bay Guy. I'll let you in on a little secret - it is really apple juice! I didn't have any beer in the house (rarely do, in truth) and it was pretty early in the morning for a brew... don't tell anybody, ok?

Yogabrian: The focus of the workshop is the 84 classic asanas. This series is the foundation of the Ghosh/Bikram lineage and the source of the famous '26 postures'. Due to the overwhelming number of Bikram instructors and practitioners who have approached Tony over the past 20 years seeking more knowledge and understanding about the postures they teach, their origin and how to get beyond the '26 postures' that are but 1/3 of the 84, Tony decided to offer this workshop and hopefully, on a regular schedule. Bay Guy, Yoga Challenge (with trademark symbol) V, VI & VII are three additional series Tony developed after YC I-IV. Tony will demonstrate the 84 classic asanas this time and save that demonstration for another workshop. sapa

Expert Yogi Posts: 2479 Location: A Blue State | Cool! How do you set a trademark symbol in xhtml? Let's see....one of those & constructions used to access the non-keyboarded parts of ASCII.... YC®V, YC®VI, and YC®VII Anyway, the 84 Asanas are cool, and they make a great practice. Anyone who is doing well with Bikram yoga would want to learn to practice these other asanas. Of this there is no doubt. It's hard to learn these asanas without getting additional instruction, and most Bikram studios do not teach them. Edited by Bay Guy 2005-06-12 12:54 AM

Expert Yogi Posts: 2479 Location: A Blue State | Oh, actually this coding is common to html and xhtml. When will all the character sets switch over to Unicode anyway? ASCII (at 8 bits or 256 characters) is soooo limited. Unicode (at 16 bits or 16384 characters) can handle everything in one font. ASCII isn't much more than QWERTY UIOP plus a few shift characters.

I REALLY want to go to this... stay a week or 10 days. attend the workshop go to a couple of classes with Tony each day. the workshop is affordable enough the lodging is an issue. the high-end place that was recommended in the e-mail is SUPER EXPENSIVE, (but worth it I am sure) and the not-so-high-end place looks a little... less than where I want to be. what's in between Sapa?? how can I attend this and stay in a nice safe place with-out putting another mortgage on the house? dee

Hi Dee, There are many places in Cabo within walking distance of the workshop which is at Costa Real Cabo Resort. You can do a search of the hotels in Cabo San Lucas. The rooms at all hotels are at low season during the workshop so there should be a pretty good selection. Try Villa del Palmar Resort & Spa. It's right outside of town but still within walking distance of the workshop. You cannot attend Tony's classes at Esperanza though unless you are a guest there and its the only other place he teaches at the moment. sapa

Miss dee, Try los bungulos(?) also. Outside of town and I think they are still around. Stayed there once and it was affordable. Nice rooms, but not many perks such as room service and such. Good pool though! Brian Edited by yogabrian 2005-06-13 1:57 PM

When is the workshop going to be. You did not have an exact date last time we communicated. I would like details so I can start getting my plans together to make it to the workshop. Thank You.
