Subject: Bikram and olympics

"Bikram went on to set multiple world records and to compete in the 1964 Tokyo Olympics".

This type of claim is not uncommon on Bikram Yoga websites. I as an Indian am compelled to state that we Indians suck at sports(barring cricket to a degree). India did win many gold medals in hockey pre 1960. Since then even there India has done poorly. India has a lot to offer in many areas like philosophy, yoga, sciences. But, sports and athletics are not India's strong suites. Nothing wrong in admitting that. I would like to see anyone produce any evidence which proves that Bikram set multiple world records. I am not sure if he participated in 1964 olympics(not that it is a big deal).
