Subject: Bikram yoga while pregnant?

Is it safe to do Bikram yoga while pregnant? Common sense tells me it would be, within reason. Of course at a certain point you wouldn't be able to lay on your stomach anymore or bend very far... but what about the heat?

My friend (who has a talent for talking out of her arse) has just graciously informed me that her MD and her OBGYN have both told her Bikram is unsafe for pregnant women. I have my doubts that she even actually asked them since she has no interest in yoga... why would she? But, she tells me the high heat will give the baby brain damage. Could this possibly be true?

In the Beginners Bikram book I have, he talks of a woman that did hot yoga right up until the very day before she gave birth. Safe for her but no one else?

Any thoughts, case-studies or facts from anyone?
