Subject: Beginner here!

I am 17 years old and have been interested in beginning yoga for a long time now... I have heard that while yoga has major benefits that I would like to obtain, if done wrong it can cause problems... I am not sure if this is true or not, but to find out the hard way would be awful. I would really like some advice, tips, opinions, etc. on any aspect of yoga and/or meditation. Anything would be greatly appreciated!

Cat, a good, cheap way to start is by going to your library and checking out some yoga videos. Keep in mind that there a bunch of different kinds of yoga - and that you will like some, and not like others. Almost every video I've ever seen has been very good. Pay close attention to the directions, look at the postures, and remember to breath!
Have fun discovering this great way to keep in shape and connect with yourself!
Namaste
