with Watermelon Juice. I put this in the Bikram section because this is for Bikram/Hot Yoga and anyone else who is interested in overcoming the heat.

The other day I came home from Yoga - not Bikram, just plain ole' yoga class. I was so thirsty and hot. The weather has been very warm here lately, but not like in Georgia hot, mountain hot and cool evenings. I don't have an A/C here in the mountains if that tells you anything. I decided to cut some watermelon up. As I was de-seeding it (I like seeded watermelons, they have so much more flavor), I decided that watermelon juice was more appealing. Soooo, I filled my blender to the top with the cut-up watermelon. Scrunched it down to get the juices going and then I blended it for a couple of minutes. Wow!! It was delicious, cooling and refreshing. It immediately cooled my body down and I felt great. Soo, this is my new Beat the Bikram Heat recipe for you. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I think I will take some to my Saturday Bikram class, set it on ice for afterwards....that will be sooo DIVINE, If you decide to spike it with Rum or Vodka, just remember, "If your ever down in Georgia in the Hot July, If you drink, don't drive, do the Watermelon Crawl."

PS. Watermelon is so healthy. It is good for your kidneys and bladder function. It is cooling to the body, removes heat, including summer heat, influences the heart, builds body fluids, moistens the intestines. Even the rind is rich in silicon and the outer skin is concentrated in chlorafyll. In fact, after Bikram, I would suggest eating and drinking watermelon alone and let it nurture your body. It has so many benefits.

I like it! Popsicles after practice are very nice too, but not nearly as healthy.
