Yes, I am interested in more about the invocation. I knew it was part of a larger work but have not been able to study it much further. Interesting that the Ashtanga version uses a different verse for the opening but the same last verse.

Interestingly there was a subsitute instructor last night who instead of chanting portions of the prayer and having us repeat, handed out print outs of the whole thing and chanted it herself as we all listened with the sheet right there.
So now, between all of your generous support with the links(thank you so much by the way) and her intuitive ability to supply a copy of the prayer, I now have a deeper understanding of the Ashtanga Yoga Mantram.
I hope and wish that these types of events happen in your lives when needed as well.
