Subject: bikram with a cold?

Hi. I've been doing Bikram for a few months and recently came down with a cold (my first one since starting). I was wondering whether I should try to practice or whether I should stay away from the studio until I am completely healthy. Bikram's book say to only do the standing series. Any thoughts on this?

I wouldn't want to go to class and get a cold from someone. But then again, people come to work with colds all the time. If you are coughing up a lung all the time, then I could see how it would be distracting to the other people there.

Certainly concur about spreading the germs. However, if your not obnoxiously contaminating those around you, if you feel like it, go for it. If not, sit out for awhile.

I made that mistake - I ended up sitting about about half the asanas - the nap was nice but it really was not a workout

I came back from my Holiday trip with a sore throat and head cold and think my yoga treatment got rid of it faster than not going. What's a few more germs among sweaty bodies??
