| In bikram yoga pose 3. Utkatasana I felt really good so I went all the way down. I felt a little pop in my right knee at the bottom. it doesn't really hurt (well maybe a little) but what are the signs of injury?

| Signs of injury are little popping sounds and pain...seriously. You are going too deep too fast Peter. You found that initial limit now back off. |

that was just plain mean....btw, my knees have been making popping sounds since 16 and 17. It's genetics in my case. My knees like to pop when I exercise. They seemed to stop popping once I added weight training and more exercise, but the yoga puts them into new positions. |

That wasn't being mean. My knees pop every time in Dhanurasana - both of them, in fact, if they don't I think I didn't do the posture correctly. I just don't have the pain because I don't push myself over my *popping* limit, there is a place where you can go to far with this. Besides, I'm probably older than you are...old age doesn't frighten me, I KNOW my body has aged and that is the main reason I do Yoga...because I do believe yoga reverses the aging process. But hey, I'm still a popping and a crackin' along the way,
