I have been doing light yoga for about 4 years or so at a fitness center. Just recently I have begun to expand out a little more. I am now practicing 6 times a week for an hour and a half a day. The teachers seem to be more atuned to the body movements and the flow at this new place. By the end of the physical "enlightenment" if you will, we do a longer meditation than I am accustomed to. There are also the aromas that they bring into the room which are stunningly captivating.

Every time I have meditated here, I lose my body. It creeps me out. I feel completely disconnected, like I am paralyzed and my instinct for survival takes over. Am I insane? I find that during these meditations, I have to keep my mind active to avoid this disassociation. Even my breathing will cease and I gasp to catch it.

What is going on here? It is only during meditation at this particular place and it has happened every time I go there. I am missing out on so much of the benefits with these fears.

You are probably allergic to the stunningly captivating aromas.
