Subject: Should I get into shape before starting bikram?

I'm a complete beginner to yoga...and working out for that matter. I really want to get into better shape and tone my body and I'm really interested in doing bikram yoga, but I am worried that I should start working out for a few weeks before hand. I did bikram twice last year and I really liked it. I loved the feeling I got afterwards. The problem was that I couldn't do all of the moves and it looked horrendous. I even had to sit for some of them and I feel like I should be in better shape before trying it again.

I want to use yoga to shed extra fat and make lean muscle. I'm skinny already (5'7", 115 lbs) but I need to lower my fat percentage.

Is bikram a good place to start? Or realistically should I save myself the embarrassment and tone up beforehand?
