This promotion should last until July 9th.Day One has an awesome interface and a lot of little things to keep your memories safe. Released under the Record your life as you live it motto, the app offers a clean way to capture, organize and share memories and photos. Day One requires a device running iOS 7.The journaling fut 16 coins app has received multiple awards: 2014 Mac Apple Design, 2012 Mac App of the Year, #1 Best Apps of Mac App Store and January 2012 App Store App of the Week.As you open the app for the first time you are presented with four different slides explaining the way you use the app: going full screen, adding images and entries via copy/paste or using several camera apps. You are also asked how often you want to be reminded to write.Day One for iOS syncs whatever you post with the Mac version via iCloud or Dropbox. The developers call it micro-journaling but the plethora of features make it a full fledged Diary app. If you are nerdy enough you can use the option to write using Markdown (an easy to write plain-text syntax). Make sure to set your passcode as soon as you are done with the initial setup so that your diary entries stay private.When you are ready to start your first entry, just tap the big + at the top of the screen and you'll be presented with a standard iOS keyboard. Each post automatically tracks a few important bits of information like Photo EXIF data, temperature and weather conditions, GPS location, the music track and, of course, the time and date.And that's not all. A few months ago, Day One added a free publishing service with their app. When you're done, you can set your current Journal page to be published to a random dayone.me page. The URL can be then shared via Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare and Tumblr.Viewing and searching for old entries is easy. You can see them all in Calendar View or as a Timeline. If you think you're getting stuck inside their ecosystem, think again. Day One offers ways to export your entries as text, PDF or Markdown.Until the price drop, there were cheaper, but inferior alternatives in the AppStore.
