Subject: overweight


i was just wondering if the extra weight got in the way, is it something that people out of shape can jump into or should i start to do with a certain type?any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yoga helped me shed 38 pounds in about a half a year...so yes, it is definitely beneficial and easy for anyone to jump on board to (at least it was for me). You'll notice your flexibility and stamina (not to mention your state of mind) improve each week you practice.
I started out by working out with Yoga Zone on dvd (it's on a network too, I think). Oxygen network also has a morning Yoga program called "Inhale" that's really good.
Good luck! Yoga has been a great tool, coupled with healthier eating, in my weight loss success. :)
