| Could someone please help me. I am interested in yoga and believe Ashtanga is what I would like to do. I took a class in Saratoga, NY whereby it was yoga moves but also an exercise class, very powerful and wonderful. Please let me know if this is it and where/when I can take classes. I live in Manhattan on the upper west so I'd go anywhere in the city actually. Please advise, and thank you,
Jason
PS my email is versaceboi@msn.com |

| Why don't you either call them or look them up on the web? From what you've mentioned, it could be but it's anybody's guess.
Powerful to you could be a whole 'nother world to someone else. What most people call "powerful" I find a relaxing walk in the park. Bodies are different, remember?

| If you are looking for Ashtanga the following studio (in our directory offers Ashtanga classes)
Universal Force Healing Center
7 West 24th Street
NY, New York 10010
(917) 606-1730
I would also recommend www.yogafinder.com.
As far as what type of yoga you took....that's a hard one to answer! Sorry.
Namaste,

| I forgot. Sorry.
For a complete listing of authorized and/or certified ashtanga teachers and studios, head over to http://ashtanga.com.
Perhaps this sight might want to check sites like these out and beef up their own directories? Or simply direct people to more "fully stocked" areas rather than reinventing the wheel? Seems kind of silly to have so many 1/2 full directories around when each type of yoga actually runs its own directory site.
Just my thought.

| I take Ashtanga Yoga classes at The Prana Studio @ 39th Street and 6th Avenue. Great studio. You can check them out at: http://www.thepranastudio.com/ I'm a beginner so I don't have much to compare it to....but I love the instuctors and the classes during lunch are pretty small. Ranges between 3-12 people usually. Good luck! |
