Help!

I did my Bikram routine Monday evening. The room was extremely hot and humid, and I started to go about 50% roughly halfway through the routine, because my strength got sapped early. Tuesday went fine, but I woke up this morning (Wednesday) with my back killing me! It hurts in the middle—not the lower back, and not the back of the neck. The entire middle region of my back is really sore, and I don't know which exercise caused it, or if I just slept on it wrong last night.

Can anyone share any insight? This sucks.

It may just be something you did at night. Or it might be something you did in yoga. How's that for an answer?

Seriously, though. I would get to your chiropractor or bodyworker and see what they think. Ice, anti-inflammatories (naprosyn or something) and rest. After 24 hours, heat alternated with ice.

I have a rib that I throw out every once in a while in the middle. The pain will go from my back all the way around to the front, especially when I twist. The rib dislocation causes the serratus to go into spasm. Usually happened to me during Standing Bow.

Hope this helps and you feel better soon. And yes, it does suck -- I know!
