Well, I've done my third class, and although the teacher didn't seem quite as intense this time, It was still really great, I noticed on the standing postures that the muscles on the outside of my ankles were burining with fatigue! and my feet bones seem very tight, Hopefully that will change with time.ANyone have any additional adivce to losen up my feet and ankles, I'd apprecitate it.
I did however, eat a pedialyte popsicle before class and drank lots of water, so far no headache. Hopefully they will stay away! Oh, and has anyone heard or use this stuff called AGELESS XTRA it is a drink full of antioxidants and nutrients, my teacher uses it and recommends it. It's made by OASIS.
Thanks
Sarah

Haven't heard of the drink, but kudos on the pedialyte popsicle! That's a nice summery way to handle things! Love it!

Hi Sarah,

If you are only on your 3rd class, just give your body some time to adjust and grow stronger and more flexible. You will probably experience various areas getting a little sore or feeling tight along the way. I can't think of anything to suggest in addition to Bikram for your feet and ankles. I think Bikram works those areas pretty hard and they will improve over time, both in flexibility and strength. Just be patient with yourself. It's a long term committment.

There are so many darned sports/health drinks on the market--and obviously many are regional. This summer, I find that after practice I crave All-sport Berry flavor followed by a freezing cold diet raspberry snapple....and several hours later, a few beers. Why I think I'll have one now...back in a minute...can I bring anybody something? Whitbread pale ale, Old Speckled Hen perhaps? How about a chilled Guiness?

Are you supinating your feet in the standing poses? Make sure feet are pointed straight ahead (second toe pointed straight forward) and your weight is evenly distributed on all four corners of the feet. Try spreading the toes and plugging the big toe down more if you're rolling to the outside of the foot.

Peace,
Gwyn

I'll take a Guiness, Bruce. Sounds great. And on the subject of post-yoga drinks, I'll have to recommend the Tangerine Odwalla juice. So good.

I will definitely try that, Cathy. As for the Odwalla Lime - definitely worth hunting for - though my local whole foods upped the price on Odwalla's by $1!
