| Hi, does anyone have any recommendations for a vigorous cardiovascular yoga workout? I have practiced yoga off and on for several years and normally run to get my cardio workout b/c most yoga workouts I've done don't seem to match running for helping to break a sweat and get my heart rate up. Unfortunately, my knees are bad right now, so I can't do any running, biking, elliptical, etc. workouts. So, at this point, I'm looking for a very vigorous power yoga type of DVD that's not too hard on the knees. I tried Baron Baptiste's video but didn't find that I broke much of a sweat. I'd really apprediate any suggestions. Thanks!

Does it have to be DVD? A lot of stuff still seems to be on video.
For a vigorous practice, it's really up to you to make the pace.
I'd suggest that you don't watch a tape or DVD while practicing,
just use them to learn the sequences and then practice on your own.
By holding the poses for a long time and not resting between them,
you will get all the cardio work and sweat that you can stand. Ashtanga
Yoga or Yoga Challenge 2-4 practices will certainly fit the bill, and Bikram
yoga can get you there if you keep the heat up.
For videos....Tony Sanchez has several excellent ones on the Yoga Challenge
sequences. I haven't watched any of the others.

| Hey Bay Guy, thanks for the advice. It does have to be DVD b/c I only have a DVD player. Alot more videos are coming out on DVD now it seems---maybe even the Tony Sanchez video--so I'll check it out. Thanks again.
