| I am in search of an Ashtanga DVD that will supplement my classes at the studio. Since I can only attend classes a couple of times a week, I am looking for a complete Primary Series DVD that I can use during the rest of the week. I'm hoping that the guidance will help me to memorize the exact order of the Series (without referring to my cheat sheet) and also encourage me to engage in all the postures (even the ones that I favor less).
Qualities that I am looking for include the Sanskrit names for the postures and time to do a full vinyasa between each seated posture. Ideally, the DVD would also have a pretty good production value.
Any input would be greatly appreciatd.

| Talia,
I have not seen this DVD, but have found this teacher's methods to be very effective. I suppose that this is not 100% solid advice since I have not seen it, but check out David Swenson's "Ashtanga--the first series." I know that the book, "The Practice Manual," is great. It has everything that you are looking for. Check it out at www.ashtanga.net. I hope this helps!!

| I had watched one Video of John Freedman ( I am assuming this name to be correct) and it was really great. Please try it.

| Yeah, I love the David Swenson DVD and the book. Also RICHARD FREEMAN is the other person you want to check out. He is also wonderful.
