I get really stiff after practising yoga. Any advice?

I was just thinking about that this morning. Been practicing solidly for a year--STILL stiff cause I keep working harder each practice--treatment is aspirin.

Yep, a nice Tylenol and a little bit of EASY yoga (maybe a couple down dogs, some forward folding) goes a long way...

Forward folding is what MAKES me stiff--lordy, I'll camel it up all day but I hate the forward bends.

Hamstrings are stubborn buggers, aren't they? I keep thinking the more I fold, the more I work them, the looser they'll become, and can almost hear them laughing at me...

Hmm, glad it's not just me then! It's me quads where I feel it most, and maybe my arms a bit sometimes. Suppose I'll feel a real bonus the day when I don't feel stiff!

I think YogaDancer mentioned somewhere here on the boards that she STILL feels stiff, and she's been practicing for 20 years or so. Don't hold your breath waiting for the day where you're not stiff anymore!

Oh dear, just realized I kind of made a bad yoga joke. Definitely time to head outta here!
