This is completely off the topic, but I was just wondering how everyone's New Year's holiday went. What did you all do? Was it good? Did you do yoga or take a break?

I had a great New Year Rachelle! Yoga'd myself silly and took my Bikram teacher to my favorite pub and got her goofy in return. LOVE having some free time when work is slow and I can go to Bikram in the AM and vinyasa ashtanga in the PM then the gausthaus after both. I seriously maintain that beer (especially trappist Belgian) enhance physical well-being and asana practice.

We had a quiet but lovely new year here. We stayed in, watched a movie, sat in the hot tub and, ermmmm....enjoyed each other's company.

Managed to stay awake just long enough to hear the neighbours celebrating by making a lot of noise outside.

New Year's and the accompanying days were quiet. I did lots of yoga, despite the
distractions of the holidays, and my son talked me into sitting up until it was actually
midnight -- something that I have not done for years and years. My peace of mind was
broken by a lot of pending horror at work, as well as the events of December 26th
( 12/26 >> 9/11 IMHO )

Not so eventful, really...I was laid up in bed with a cold/flu-ish type devil that teased me for a month or so before hitting full-force...Did manage to watch every "Sex and the City" DVD that my local (across the street) Blockbuster carries as well as drink my weight in ginger tea...So no yoga.

Got back to it tonight, though, and man it was good.
