| i am having a terrible time finding an extra large yoga mat. i have an airex mat i use for pilates which is about 48x80, but it slips and slides a little with yoga. i have looked all over for a similar sized sticky mat for yoga, but it seems every sticky mat made is 24in wide. the cloth mats seem to come larger, but not the sticky mats. is there some reason for this?? i have really wide shoulders and i can't even do a pushup on a 24in wide mat, my hands don't even hit the thing. any ideas?? |

| Wow! Are you The Hulk or sumthin'? Sorry, but 24" is pretty much the standard width for yoga mats and it never failed to be wide enough for me. I've heard about extra longer mats, but wider?

| Well, I found this thread because I am looking for an extra wide mat!
I Googled "extra wide yoga mat" and here's what I got back:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=extra+wide+yoga+mat
The good news? I found a couple of wider mats, including one as wide as 80cm (approximately 31.5"!!) (scroll down about halfway)
The bad news? You'll have to pay overseas shipping on all of them, as apparently they're all in the UK.
Once again, fitness in America is only for those that are fit to begin with!
