I just started two months ago. And i love it I never felt better. I'm 16 years old and I live in Georgia. I'm currently not able to take a class because there really arent any around (it sucks being the really open minded one in a small town) so i use books and tapes. Wthat was just a little about me.

Welcome to the forum! I'm new here myself. It's great to have found a place to talk and learn about yoga. There aren't too many people where I live who practice Yoga either!

Yay! I wish *I* had discovered Yoga at 16. I'm exposing my two girls to Yoga at an early age, hoping it'll "grab" them at some point.

I love Yoga books and tapes ~ what are you currently using?

Welcome Sara! Your screen name makes me think you like a more active practice. Several of my younger students enjoy Bryan Kest's Power Yoga series. It is an excellent introduction to Ashtanga style yoga and I have to admit Mr. Kest is not hard to look at!

I love Bryan Kest's Power Yoga Series! My weak area was upper body strength, and I gained so much of it from those videos. He hosted a workshop near where I live last august, but I wasn't able to attend.

I agree w/ the general concensus regarding Bryan Kest. I've taken 2 workshops with him and both were great - though the second was an amped up version of his "all levels" CD, I nearly died.

C'mon Melissa--we know why you go to the workshops--'cause Kest is a hottie--fess up.
