We had a little "what style of yoga do you do" poll on the general forum
recently, and the most frequent reply was "Iyengar yoga", ahead of
any other style. Yet, for some reason, the Iyengar forum gets much less
traffic than, say, the Bikram forum. Why is that?

| I would love to give a very clever and witty riposte to this question but I am toooo tired.... I think it may be that Iyengar students get most of their questions answered in class. We don't have to use outside sources as much. Or that Bikram is a pretty common entry into yoga so the beginners there have a lot of questions. But largely it is because the Bikram forum is pretty entertaining - I mean those discussions on BO and pus smells? Ya just can't get better than that online for free.... |

| I would love to go but other factors (especially the $$$ ones) make it impossible. At least one ofmy teachers will go so we will get a good reporting of the event. |

| Iyengar is not such a dividing character like Bikram. Most of the threads in the B forum are about his business mayhem since there is not too much to ask and discuss about the 26 poses.
This reminds me of my post very long ago, when I asked why we have so many different forums. I still feel that iyengar, anusara, hatha, beginners and maybe even bikram could easily be merged into one, forming the new general forum. Nobody except my poor little self seemed to fancy that idea so I kept quiet about it from then on. Still I see that some forums don't have much traffic and that some posters have to ask their questions in different forums in order to reach everybody.
Yay iyengar!
