Subject: Yoga Source Teacher Training

Hello All,

I am considering taking the teacher training course offered by Yoga Source in Santa Fe, NM this September. This course is taught by an ashtanga yoga and Tibetan buddhist practitioner named Tias Little. I know that we are not really supposed to get too personal with names, etc. on this forum, but does anyone have any personal experience with this teacher or the studio? I talked with him on the phone and he seemed VERY knowledgable and nice. Any comments or suggestions?

Thanks

I have heard he is good but not from anyone directly involved. Just a general "vibe"

I just finished doing a level 1 training with him in London and I would highly recommend it. He is great and you will learn alot . Just know that he's not really an Ashtanga teacher anymore. I'm actually considering going to Santa Fe to do the Level 2 training--it was that good!

Been there, did Level one and two in 2003.
HIGHLY recommended..phenomenal experience!!!!!!

Tias actually fuses elements of Ashtanga, Iyengar, and buddhism into his teaching.....intense, alignment based flow with bandhas and ujayii breath. Neither ashtanga NOR iyengar, but deep, beautiful and inspirational.

Tias (and his wife Surya) are both also brilliant in the spiritual realms. His depth and breadth of knowledge are like the "yoga brain".
GO FOR IT!!!

Thanks Jess. These are the feelings and inspirations that I saw there (after a visit to the yoga studio and the zen center) and experienced after talking on the phone with him. Thanks to all for the feedback and the information. I think I will have to go for it. Maybe I will see some of you there!!

Namaste
