This is such an interesting thread. Coming from an opera background where you rarely sing in English, learning the Sanskrit just felt normal to me. It was just another language to explore. Until this thread I never thought about it really.

I'm not passionate either way about Sanskrit or English, but I can see both sides of the argument here. Personally I tend to use both English and Sanskrit when referring to poses, but I'm lazy about learning the Sanskrit vocabulary for it's own sake.

For most people it seems to become more of an issue if they choose to teach. As a student one may or may not take it in, depending on their interst level, I think.
