| Okay I have a question now:
I have a hoby called Amtgard, basically its kind of a live action roleplay where we construct weapons out of bamboo and funnoodle or camping foam and go out and beat on each other for a couple of hours ( you can find lots of info at www.amtgard.com if you want a better explanation ) there are rules so its not like complete mayhem but it is a very good cardio workout it doesnt take long to start working up a sweat.
I want to know if doing a quick sun salutation to sorta limber up would be an acceptable way of "stretching" before the intense workout that this hobby gives me?
I know i may be being a bit counter-yogi ( for lack of a better word ) since yog is ultimatelyl the practice of nonviolence and such. But i was just wondering what everyone's .02 was on this...
thanks in advance |

| OK, you definitely get the prize for the most unique hobbies! Salute the sun 'til the cows come home. It is a great warm up |

| heh, thanks for the prize nomination! Alright sounds good, I will probably do a sun salutation followed by warrior II and triangles. that should give a pretty good all over stretch for this..any other asanas that i may need to do? ( remember: Im not able to do the splits yet or any hip openers since im still fairly new to this, basic stuff is probably the best for reccomnedations ).
On a side note: the weapons that we are allowed to construct have to be something that was used no later than 1650 b.c. ( dark or middle ages ) and they have to have a diameter of a hockey puck. So really if you follow the rules it is a pretty safe way to relieve some stress.
