I've been to several. I really enjoyed all of them. The classes are tough but he is a compassionate teacher. I highly recommend his workshops if you enjoy a vigorous vinyasa practice.

I haven't been to a workshop, but I've been to classes that he's led at the Boston studio. He really does a great job pushing and challenging you, but somehow pulling back at the right moment. His rap is excellent and he comes across as quite sincere.

It's a zoo when he teaches locally - 100+ students in the double studio mat to mat with several assistant giving modifications. I've heard that sometimes people practice in the hallway if they can't get inside. He's good, but not hallway-practice good!

In the issue of fairness, I will now contradict myself and say that the last class that I took with Baron (last Saturday) was poor. I expected a big crowd, but mats were literally touching on 2-4 sides. The heat (and humidity) was off the charts due to the crowd - it made Bikram seem cold. I actually think that certain poses (i.e prasarita padottasana) were left out because there wasn't enough room. They should pre-sell classes and limit it to 70 students or so to ensure adequate practice space. It's a nice studio, but I've had much better classes (with regard to sequencing and dialogue) from the usual staff.
