| It's kind of weird but when I do certain poses over my right leg, especially the triangle pose, when I go to deep into it I get a sharp pain in my ankle and if I don't let up my heel gets a pin like pain in the bottom and I can't put pressure on it until I've released the pose. It doesn't happen on the other side and now that I think about it it's really just the triangle pose that I notice it in.
I do remember cracking a bone in that foot when a horse stepped on me many years ago. I never went to the doctor because there wasn't anything to be done. Do you think that could be the problem? Or am I doing something wrong?
I don't go to classes right now because I don't have the cash but I have gone in the past so while I'm still a newcomer to yoga I feel like I have an inkling (not a sarcastic inkling a true inkling) about how to hold some of the poses.
Any thoughts? Or modifications? I still want to do it. I've gone deeper into it the last few days and that's when I really started to notice it. |

| Saje - ankle pain in triangle is usually due to putting too much pressure on the outer foot. Find all "4 corners" of the foot - big toe mound, baby toe mound, outer heel and inner heel. Press down evenly on all four corners. The big toe mound especially in triangle. But keep the thigh rotating out and the kneecap strongly lifted - don't sacrifice the integrity of the knee joint to protect the ankle. Let me know if that works |

| Ok! I'll give that a try tomorrow. Thanks. I do focus on my foot and have tried different things to easy the pressure and it didn't help. BUT I haven't worked on the knee and thigh so that may be the problem. Thanks. I'll let you know after I do it tomorrow. |
