| hey guys!
I'm new to the forum, I hope to find some new and interetsing stuff! I have just a quick question to ask :
Does yoga actually help with the form of posture, to help lengthen the back, and make it appear straighter?

| Hi Taralee I'm a relative newcomer to yoga, but I believe yoga does help posture, at least in the sense that it makes you more aware of your body and what it can do. I also feel a sense of pride and accomplishment from my practise, and I know that makes me stand taller. (Which I don't really need, being 5'11 already - LOL!) Actually because I am so tall I have always been prone to slumping, and have noticed lately that I hold myself more upright now. I'm sure the more experienced yogis and yoginis can chime in here and give you a more technical perspective than I! Best to you! Echo |

| Yes absolutely! It really trains you to stand up straighter and taller - no slouching! It's great for the spine.
