Subject: Iyengar teacher in Rome

I was just wondering whether anyone knows of a good and inexpensive teacher in Rome. I notice that most yoga studios are really expensive, and as an almost beginner I wish to find someone who does not teach yoga only to make a good living.
Thanks

Welcome Glow I would guess that renting space for classes in Rome is not cheap! As a teacher I often feel a little defensive when people think we make a ton of money because I think they don't realise there are a lot more expenses involved in running a studio. And Iyengar teachers in particular spend a lot of money keeping their training up to date. Anyway, good luck with finding a teacher - yoga in Rome sounds delightful!

Just out of curiosity, do yoga studios around the world always charge a subscription fee of around €60 per year, regardles of how long you take lessons for? I find this really off-putting, as it stops me from trying different studios in order to find a teacher I really like.

There are many ways of charging students. The studios I go to have a rate for members and non members. The membership fee varies but you get benefits such as newsletters, early registration, free studio time for practice etc. depending on the studio. Other area are more into punch card systems etc.
