I don't have as much experience marketing yoga, but you could certainly review my web site and apply some of the methods towards yoga.
Probabably the first suggestion I migh offer is to first talk with your father and see if he wishes to pursue his yoga teaching as a business. If he does, then he will just need to start with the basics. Establish a value for the services, a class period time and schedule, and a place to teach. Then he will need to begin communicating to as many people as he can who are correct for his classes what benefits he has to offer them.
Receiving an income from anything is a result. The result comes from helping. So the real responsibility, the place to take action, is in helping first.
