So the Baptists don't think we exist either? |

| Looks like 10,000 Clergy aren't to happy about "Intelligent Design" either.
"To reject this truth or to treat it as 'one theory among others' is to deliberately embrace scientific ignorance and transmit such ignorance to our children."

| I hadn't thought of this before, but thanks to the thread bump (great link GJ) it occurs to me that if Christian "faith-based" creation theory (and BTW, do they not realise that using the word "based" pretty much makes it fiction? So many historical novels are "fact-based" yet clearly fiction ) must be taught in school that ALL creation myths must be taught? I would love to be there when elementary teachers wrap their brains around some of the aboriginal creation myths |

Maybe we can get them to use the Hindu/Vedic myth where Shiva maturbates the world into existence accepted. I'm sure that will go over HUGE with the fundies!
Well GJ, that would be the problem...even you don't even have a clue about Shiva...so how in the hell will they...the creators of this Intelligent Design???
Sometimes I just laugh and shake my head when I teach my daughter History and read some of the BS they come up with about Asian Culture. I don't agree with Baptist people about this subject, but not for the same reasons they do. Intelligent Design has way too many flaws in it and is simply IN-complete information. It's diluted and totally stupid. |

GJ isn't totally off base about the priapic Siva...all denials aside, the Siva linga
is an image of his you-know-what. Lots and lots of stories about this....
