Subject: London workshop

The first Tuesday of each month there is a FREE yoga workshop/meeting for any/all yoga teachers and trainee teachers.
The workshop is free as we are not charged for the space and each teacher is welcome to teach/lead the group. Each month the workshop is different, anything from a power flow class through adjustment techniques to discussion on yamas etc.
The next workshop is 1.11.05 and will be a flow class or some shadow yoga.
It is at 3pm at Soho gym,Macklin st,Covent Garden.
You can e-mail me to confirm.

Shadow yoga was developed by Shandor Remete.
The asanas are very traditional but before you can do them you have to learn the 4 preludes. These use warrior forms and sun forms to work on the nadis and marma points. It is very grounding, very hard work on hips and legs.
Have a look at www.islingtonyoga.com

Hmmmm.... some of those poses don't look too "traditional" to me but they are lovely!

Those poses are part of the prelude which is done before the yoga asanas.
In the preludes the poses are not held you flow from on to the next(a bit like tai-chi)you also do strong breating techniques while moving, which is very intense,to opend the enery channels.
Once you have done the preludes then you do sunsalutes than sivinada style asana.
