Does anyone have experience working with tendonitis? I would appreciate any suggestions
you may have to help...herbs, topical, movement. The client is 67, in good physical shape,
not a strong yoga practice. the Doctor reccommended alleve for a week, a "brace' for support
and as little movement as possible. (and it's the right elbow, so that is challenging!)
thank you for sharing any experiences you may have with this!!

My suggestion is same as that of doctor with the following change:

change one week time frame to Whatever time needs to heal that part.

Sorry Raku,
I did not understand what Alleve meant. I thought it is a kind of mechanical prop to alleviate pain. If it is a chemical, my suggestion is Trash it if possible. If impossible, you have no choice.

Being an acupuncturist I would have to suggest acupuncture for tendonitis. Works great most of the time. From my experience 67 y.o. men usually do not think of acupuncture as the first resort. In fact, many of my 60+ male patients think acupuncture is really weird until they actually receive a treatment.

My second idea, being on the receiving end of Hellerwork treatments, is for your client to try Hellerwork or Rolfing. Both of these types of Structural Integration (SI) are not simply massage. SI works with the fascia (connective tissue) which helps reduce pain and increase range of motion and flexibility. It does more than that but I'll leave that up to the Hellerworkers/Rolfers out there to explain.

Keep us posted on his progress!

hi FiFi,
(it's a woman!) but still hard to convince on the acupuncture part.
Thanks...I bet Rolfing could be nice for that.
