Subject: The BIG ball

I'm interested in exercising with a big bouncy ball. Can someone please recommend a book with good exercises, please?

Last week I saw an infomercial about a series of DVDs for strengthening one's core using one of those balls. The exercises loked really cool! They were using free-weights with half of the exercises.

The catch was that you have to buy 1 DVD a month from this group for different ball exercises. In an effort to maintain a clutter-free living space I do not want to accumulate monthly DVDs. Plus, I can read. Double plus: they had Nick Lachey as their spokesperson and I don't want to throw-up while trying to exercise (which I would if I had to watch Nick Lachey exercise, or sing, or act, or dance, or breathe,,,,,)

thanks!

Ooo! I have one! I just got a book called PowerSculpt for Women, it is ALL ball exercises. It's great! I've been goofing off with the ball for years, and some of these exercises are really very challenging and cool. You can start with the beginner versions, and work your way up. I have a pretty strong core, and I could spend years working up to the advanced exercises in here!

You can get it on Amazon with or without an accompanying DVD, I believe both versions are under $20. I got the DVD versions, but I haven't watched it yet so I can't tell you whether the extra few bucks is worth it!

I like to buy LOTS of DVD's, unfortunately I don't like to watch them.

There's a book I used for quite awhile called Pilates on the Ball by Colleen Craig ... I really liked it (but I'm spending that time on yoga now). She has another book out now called Abs on the Ball which also looks good.
