Subject: Yoga=Massage?

Does Yoga act as a kind of massage for the body? I know a stupid question - but I had too ask.

The reason I ask is because I am feeling very limber and less tense than I usually do after doing 3 classes this week - almost similar to the way I feel after a therapeutic massage.

the different poses massage your internal organs as well

more like self-massage.

challenging your muscles, fascias, tendons and ligament, joints - as well as bringing more oxygene to the body.

the difference is that in massage you can allow yourself to switch off your brain - whilst in yoga you have to concentrate and control your movements
