Subject: Back from Italy

Just got back from a 4 day retreat in Italy (Torri in Sabina) and can't believe how much improvement there's been in my yoga practise since I added Iyengar to the Sivananda I've been doing for the last three years. I've only been practising Iyengar for about three months now and the changes in my body have been amazing.

I was blown away that I did the wheel for the first time, albeit with some assistance to get my shoulders to lift from the floor from a starting posture of Bridge.

I also went to a hot springs spa and spent the afternoon neck-deep in hot water surrounded by pine forest.

My first Shiatsu massage too.... amazing how she found all my duff bits without asking me much..... language barrier :-)

Welcome back! Sounds like you had fun.

I'd LOVE the hot springs/massage combo.

They were on different days but it was fabulous. I think the lady offering massage at the retreat was talented beyond her training :-)
