Hi Friends,

Secret of happiness
==============
We all want to be happy and seek happiness in external objects. Yoga teaches you to search the happiness within. This is a short story about a king who was craving for more and more happiness and a Sadhu who taught him the secret of happiness.

Very Very good Bipinji.

uncomparable happiness comes from contentment.

For a real discriminating (between real and unreal) person due to the pains caused by changes, difficulties, and birth-life cycles and due to conflict amongst the sattwa, rajas, and tamas gunas, everything in the material universe is painful. So, he seeks the world beyond it, that is Spiritual World.

I have also read and liked that book (Marathi translation). I am not sure if you know that the book is available on-line also at:

Yes, at least THIS book, has been translated also in Greek (in two different and both good translations) and it was one of my first yoga-readings.

Well, I really liked the yogi who could make flowers with no scent smell like other scents....really the whole book seemed so magical to me, almost like a fairy tale, but I've believed in more outlandish possibilities than any that were in the book so, I thought it was pretty neat overall.

Another portion I liked was when Yogananda's Guru came to him from the beyond and described the worlds upon worlds that exist after our lives in this world.

Hi im Markus, I am currently completing my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Deakin University. As part of my degree I am conducting research related how participation in yoga may improve psychological wellbeing.

As most people who participate in yoga would have experienced for themselves there are many psychological benefits to yoga. For instance the challenge plus the relaxation are well reported. However, in spite of this being a consistent theme in magazine articles, books, and film there has been a distinct lack of research related to how yoga can improve wellbeing over a prolonged period of time using a measure of Subjective Wellbeing.

To address this gap the aim of my study is to investigate the relationship between engaging in physical activities (such as yoga) and improvements in subjective wellbeing. If you are 18 years old or over and participate in yoga you are invited to take part in this research. The whole process is anonymous and conducted entirely online and will take less than 15 minutes, so it won’t take up too much of your time. Just click on the link below.

Your participation in this research is greatly appreciated!
