Hi everybody. I have made this page in order to let you know that from 20th (Friday) to 22nd (Sunday) april 2007, Roy Eugene Davis (a direct disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda) will be in Italy for a seminar and a kriya yoga initiation. During the seminar, Mr. Davis will speak english and there will be a translation into Italian and French. As probably also the organizers will lecture once in a while, their talks will be translated into French and English.

Saturday 21st april:
07:00 am - group meditation

02:30 pm - Satsang (open discussion with Roy Eugene Davis)
06:30 pm - group meditation
08:30 pm - Lecture (Roy Eugene Davis)

Sunday 22nd april:

The seminar is open to everybody is seriously interested to improve his life from a spiritual viewpoint. Specific knowledge of yoga is not necessary. The seminar will take place in a monastery just out of town. This facility can put up about 120 people (95 beds in double or triple rooms with bathroom + 25 beds in a dormitory). 30 other people sleeping out of the monastery will be welcome (the maximum capacity of the lecture room is 150).
What is kriya yoga and who is Roy Eugene Davis
Roy Eugene Davis is a direct disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda (the author of the book "autobiography of a yogi"). Born in 1931, Davis met Yogananda in 1949 and he was immediately accepted as a disciple. Yogananda soon gave Mr. Davis a position of responsability in the SRF center of Phoenix and, later, (1951) he authorized him to teach in the kriya yoga tradition. You can find much material about mr. Davis in these pages (www.kriyayoga.it) or in the pages of his spiritual organization (Center for Spiritual Awareness) .
Kriya means "action". We consider as a "kriya" every right action that we perform in order to grow spiritually. Paramahansa Yogananda taught that with devotion, right living, service and meditation we can realize the full reality of God in our lives. Paramahansa Yogananda explained also some scientific techniques of meditation that, progressively, refine the nervous system of the practicioners allowing them to experiment superconscious states.

Prices:
The seminar is free. During the initiation you will be able to leave a small donation that we will use for our general expenses. In order to eat and sleep at the monastery, the tariff quoted by the brothers is 74 euros in total, covering meals and lodging from the dinner of 20th to the lunch of 22nd. There are no other expenses.

Where is Albisola Superiore:
Albisola Superiore is about 30 km out of Genoa. If you land in the airport of Genoa (there are daily flights from Munich, London (Ryan Air, departing from London Stansted, is very cheap), Paris and other italian towns), you can get a taxi to the closest railway station (Genova Cornigliano - less than 5 minutes by car from the airport). Get a train going towards Savona or Ventimiglia and get off the train in Albisola (the travel by train will take you about 25 minutes). Once arrived at the station of Albisola, get a taxi and in less than 5 minutes you will be at the monastery (the name is: "Santuario della Pace" - it means: "sanctuary of peace").
Other information
Receiving the initiation from a direct disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda is a unique opportunity. Read the book "Autobiography of a yogi" - by Paramahansa Yogananda and also a few books written by Roy Eugene Davis in order to get the maximum out of this experience.
